Goblining or Trolling? The Truth Revealed

One of the most highly controversial issues in the 21st century is the trolling/goblining dilemma. While trolling is making a deliberately offensive or provocative online post with the goal of upsetting someone and eliciting an angry response, goblining is much more than that. The funny thing is that trolling was actually derived from goblining. There are competing theories of where and when "troll" was first used in Internet slang, with numerous unattested accounts of BBS and UseNet origins in the early 1980s or before. However, "goblin" or
"goblining" was first said to have started in the early 1970s by a man by the name of Vladimir Herjavec, father of Robert Herjavec, millionaire businessman and shark tank investor. Herjavec originally used the term as a synonym to prank, but once his son started his first technology company called BRAK Systems and later sold it to AT&T for $100 million, he expanded the context. "Man did they get goblined" says senior Herjavec. "That wasn't even the best cyber security Rob put together." After all these years now look at it: goblining has taken over the last decade and trolling has been what it always has...nothing.
