Miami,FL (AP) - Royal Caribbean Cruise Line the nation's largest luxury cruise line announced today they will no longer be serving Coca-Cola beverages on any of their vessels. The announcement was made today in a press conference at their Miami headquarters. Royal Caribbean CEO, Captain Lars Van Nostren said "We've had multiple requests from scores of passengers." He said, "Our passengers have very sophisticated tastes, they have been requesting this for a long time and we must respect their wishes."
All of the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines have been replaced with machines from the Pepsi Cola Company. The new machines will be called Pepsi Cola Freestyle machines and are located throughout the ships.
The changes come in response to complaints from passengers that the beverages spewed from the Coke mahines were too cold, too sweet and in some cases too carbonated. RCCL Chief Quality Control Officer Chico DeRodriguez said the cruise line has been testing the new machines for quite some time. "We are certain the passengers will truly love the new Pepsi Freestyle units. The flavor possibilities are limitless." New flavors run the gamut from Chocolate Ginger Ale to Watermelon Raisin soda.
Chico smiled as he wiped away drops of sasparilla from his bushy moustache and said, "Pepsi used to the choice of a new generation, but now it's the choice if the Royal Caribbean."
