It is with much remorse to announce that the Carnival Valor will be going out of commission indefinitely. It may be even more shocking to patrons to hear that this will be immediate and any purchased cruise packages will not be refunded at this time. Carnival is currently in discussions about utilizing different vessel for upcoming cruises to finish out the 2017 season. But if a replacement is found, it is certain that the tentative 4 day cruise to Cozumel scheduled to leave on September 28th will not happen.
We were able to speak with some of the guests who were set to travel this week. Shameesha Jenkins was irate, “This don’t make no sense at all! Done nobody axed any of us about it and we already spents our money!”
When interviewed by TheCruiseWeb.com, Captain Lee Rosbach’s response was puzzling. “I believe that peace lies beyond personality and invitation and disguise.” He continued with, “We don’t matter.” This seemed odd since Carnival had offered him a position as the Chief Mate of the Carnival Breeze.
More will be disclosed in the weeks to come, but Carnival is not saying much. For sure, the Valor will not leave the Galveston port at least through October 15th.
