The battle was long and hard. Thanks to their group of attorneys, Harry, Landing & Stripp, SEIU Local 1 in Columbus Ohio accepted the petition from several prostitutes to join the union.
Membership in the SEIU entitles them to group health insurance, short and long term disability, and even 401K programs.
Neal Bisno, Executive V.P for the SEIU said "We can see the plight of these unprotected workers". Bisno continued by adding "Anyone in a service related field is welcome to apply for membership at www.seiumb.com"
The Service Employees International Union was founded in 1921 and has over 1.8 million members.
