It was mentioned on radio stations, such as 103.3 WKFR, B-93.7, and Live 99.9 in late August that 50 Cent, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, and possibly Snoop Dogg might be moving to either Kalamazoo, South Bend, or Grand Rapids. The radio stations haven't interviewed any of the rappers yet, but Jay-Z had visited Grand Rapids, South Bend, and Kalamazoo many times before and he had been wanting to move to a smaller city. This comes a month after Eminem had moved out of his mansion in Rochester Hill, Michigan (A rich Detroit Metropolitan area, just east of Pontiac, Michigan). It's not very clear if Snoop Dogg is deciding whether or not if he is moving to one of these cities as well or not. Eminem interviewed Wood TV 24 Hour News 8 in downtown Grand Rapids in late may and quoted "I have been living in the Detroit Metropolitan area my whole entire life and I have been wanting to move out into one of the other cities in Michigan for the past 12 years. I had thoughts of moving to Muskegon, but I just never thought that Muskegon was really my type of city, even though it looks beautiful there in the winter time and is right off of Lake Michigan." Eminem had mentioned that his ex-wife Kim Mathers was born in Grand Rapids and that she loved Grand Rapids so much, but she just never really had the chance to move there ever since she met Eminem. Eminem also had a cousin who had lived in Elkhart, Indiana, which is right by South Bend. At this point, it is not very clear on when they are all moving to one of these cities , but as soon as we get more information about it, we will let you know.
