To be inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Hall of Fame is to be enshrined into the rock ’n roll history of Iowa forever. Inductees have been nominated, and then decided upon by the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Board of Directors. Nomination criteria are as follows:
Must be rock ’n roll based: group, radio station, deejay, record store, recording studio, recording label, music store, manager, media representative, writer, single artist, ballroom, club, club owner/manager, etc. who has made a SIGNIFICANT impact on the Iowa rock ’n roll music scene
All nominees must have been formed or started at least 25 years ago
Other items to consider: opening for national acts, size of touring region, recordings, longevity, cover music, original music, professionalism, how they enhanced rock ’n roll music in Iowa
All final decisions are made by the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Board of Directors
Nominations are accepted at any time, but must be in by midnight on Sept. 15th every year to be considered for the following year. Nominations submitted without biography will not be considered. If the biography does not fit in this contact form, feel free to submit a packet of media to Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association offices. Induction into the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Hall of Fame is a great honor, and guarantees that current and future rock ’n roll fans in Iowa know their state’s vibrant musical legacy.
