Green Bay Packer Hall of Famer Brett Favre has signed a one year contract to play as the starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears in the 2017 - 2018 season. Favre will join the Bears starting with their fourth preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on August 31, 2017.
When asked about why he is coming out of retirement a humble Favre said that he is in the best condition of his life and feels he still has what it takes to play in the National Football League. Coach Fox is looking forward to Brett reporting for practice this week and believes he will be a valuable part of the transforming offense.
A clause in the contract allows Favre to return to play an additional season if the Bears win more than 12 games with Brett at the helm.
