NASA has confirmed month long running speculation that they are sending Rosie O'Donnell to the moon in an attempt to explore space dust. "O'Donnell has been in contact with NASA for about 15 years regarding her passion and education of the cosmos and beyond. And although we cannot send anyone past the 239 thousand miles that the moon is from the earth, we can definitely suit her up and send her to the giant satellite," a representative for the program said in an interview last week. O'Donnell will be assisting 3 other astronauts in a mission to collect micro dust that scientists have discovered floating approximately half a mile above the crater filled surface.
"Ultimately our goal is to inhabit the moon permanently and we are hoping Rosie is interested in being a pioneer in this endeavor".
O'Donnell is scheduled for blast off in 3 weeks on August 23, 2017 from NASA's Cape Canaveral in Florida.
