A chubby brown and tan puppy cleverly disguised as a shepherd mix was unwittingly adopted by a Northern Virginia woman in early 2013. In a matter of months he grew into a big red dog and a DNA test resulted in the revelation that he was a mixture of Catahoula Cur and Chow Chow - hence, the rare and delightful unicorn of dog breeds, the CurChow.
The beautiful dog's name is Trevor, and after his photograph graced numerous calendars at several animal hospitals and rescue groups, he became something of an instant celebrity. Now it is official: Trevor Miller is the most popular dog in the entire United States of America. Unfortunately, the dog is also incredibly shy around new people and tends to evacuate his bowels when approached by well-meaning squeals of delight.
