The ODNR ( Ohio Department of Natural Resorces) is now investigating claims that Ohio's white tailed deer herds are no longer as prominate as they one were. According to the ODNRS spokesperson the population of deer have greatly decreased in the last five years, now leading to an ongoing investigation into weather the hunting season for 2017-2018 should be closed. Representives from the ODNR have also concluded the the cause for this decrease in population is due to the over hunting of animal and have caused them to die off. They predict that if over hunting keeps happining that the wild deer herd of Ohio will become a bear extinct species.
