The White House held a 'Touch a Truck' event early this week in an effort to distract the President from another failing attempt at fixing America's healthcare issues.
"It's a great event, I just love the big shovel Caterpiller thing. Did you see it? I couldn't believe how big it was. I just wanted to play with it in a big sandbox," the President told Vice President Pence. "You should have seen the President, he was like a kid in a candy store. He was making all sorts of engine noises. It was a real pleasure to see him so happy for once", Pence said.
Later on, we caught up to the President who seemed to regain clarity of the impending healthcare bill issues. It came to pass while sitting in the driver seat of the firetruck on the White House lawn. He could "put out Obamacare's fires" with the firetruck, quipped the President. Pretending to spray water in the direction of Congress, while making whoosh noises, symbolizing the water being sprayed and emptied from the trucks 1,000 gallon reservoir tank.
Sean Spicer also was spotted at the event, eyeing up the "Ditch Witch" machine and at one point climbing aboard. The President, on the other side of the lawn near the cherry picker truck, pointed over in the direction of Sean while speaking to Randolph Alles. Alles then promptly ran over to Sean exclaiming "The President didn't give you permission to get on that piece of equipment, Sean! Go back inside!"
When asked about the incident and why the President wouldn't allow him access to the Ditch Witch, Sean replied, "It's not that he didn't want me on it, no, no. He just didn't feel that it was safe. He cares about everyone and doesn't want anyone to get hurt. Look, every machine here could easily crush you to death if any of them were to turn on under their own power."
