The New York Jets CEO Woody Johnson will announce on Wednesday July 18, 2017 that they will start selling not only their own teams gear but that of their number 1 rival, The New England Patriots. Woody Johnson said that "This was a hard decision to make but the cost of running an NFL franchise is not cheap, and with the costs of players salaries and consistently having teams that finish under .500 something has to be done. We can't afford to pay the players if no one is coming to the games."
Johnson also said that the team is also giving discounts of up to 15 off games to people the reside in New England and is hoping that this will help turn around the team from being in the red to being back in the black.
Will this new tactic work? Only time will tell. The Cleveland Browns are waiting to see what the results will be with this new tactic..
