The Loch Ness monster, also known as "Nessie" was recently spotted in the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The eye witness report from Cletus Spuckler follows, " Yeah, I was pulling some tires out of the river, to give to Brandine, my wife, for our anniversary. Then I heard a ruckus in the river and seen a dang dinosaur head come up out of the water. I gots scared and hucked my empty can of Skoal at it, then went running back to my tin roofed shanty."
Nessie was unavailable for comment on these allegations, but a local source says, "The old gal is just vacationing in the lower 48, and will be returning to her native land, before the end of the month."
Any further questions should be directed to Kent Brockman.
