In the last few years there has been an increase in train traffic in the Northern Illinois town of Mundelein, now Canadian National is hoping there long term plan has paid off.
"We are going to run trains for 5 straight days." says spokesman for Canadian National, "We have been slowly testing their patience up there, now we'll see if they notice."
Some residents voiced concerns while others say they have gotten used to sitting at the rail gates down. "I didn't know the gates go up." claims Allen Stubitsch.
Canadian National will be using the 5 days to transport materials through the region as well as passenger cars handling the mass exodus of people from the state of Illinois due to recent budget tax increases.
