A local fisherman got quite a suprise this week when he caught a fresh water shark in Lewisville Lake. The angler, Ima Lion, 62, Addison TX said he was trolling along the north shore when he noticed one of his poles bending. "It was bending more than I have ever seen a pole bend." Lion faught the 214 pound fresh water shark for over two hours. "It was the most exciting catch of my life. I've been fishing these waters for all my life and never have I caught anything like this." The photo was taken with Lion's granddaughter Shebe, 6, Denton,TX.
Texas Deartment of Wildlife and Parks has now issued a warning regarding lewisville Lake. "We are recomending no one swim or go on or in the water until we can assess the situation and see just how many sharks are in the water."
Lewisville Lake is postponing the anual fireworks display until the waters are deemed safe.
