Sociologists launched a state-wide Fake News research study, to gauge which cities in Indiana were most likely to share bogus stories. After a year-long campaign, Dr. Frida Miehnds confirms that residence of Howard County, specifically Kokomo, shared fake news stories at twice the rate of other Hoosier counties.
"We're not sure yet why we're seeing this trend," Dr. Miehnds said when contacted for a statement. "It's just a lot of raw data right now. But we'll keep looking into it."
In another interview, Dr. Miehnds suggested that perhaps the citizens of Kokomo are suffering from a nutrient deficiency, due to not having a Chick-Fil-A within 30 miles.
