On February 2nd, local law enforcement as well as Sherriff, D.O.T., and Texas Rangers began an oilfield investigation that was request by Occidental Petroluem Corporation. "OXY" made a call to Levelland Police Department about fraud and theft. We spoke with the CEO and some production techs of Occidental Petroluem and we are getting info that the suspect operates a hot oiler truck. 1984 year model to be specific. It is said that the suspect potentially lied about knowing how to operate the truck and other specifics that is required to even step foot inside the cab. He was sent on a job at the South East Levelland Unit battery. All he had to do was unplug circulating pump line and the oil leg. The suspect then hooked up to the free water knock out and started pumping fresh water into it. The pumper on location asked what he was doing and the suspect replied that he was unplugging the circulating pump and notified the pumper that he had a load of fresh water and proceeded to call the knock out vessel a fresh water knockout. The pumper then ran the suspect off location cause he pumped on a closed valve and sheared the pins to his pop off valve. The pumper said the suspect had no idea what he was doing and felt unsafe during the whole time the suspect was on location. The pumper then called the Occidental office and told them what happened. They looked into the suspect and proceeded to pull up field tickets and JSAs. After further review and not being able to read the jsas they then called the WLP Energy office. They pulled up more field tickets and noticed that the suspect was charging to do wells that no longer were in production and had been temporarily abonded. Upon further investigation it has been noticed that he has also been doing what is called "short loading". Which means he was supposed to pump 75 bbls down the casing annular and flowline, but instead he was only pumping 50 bbls. That alone is theft because oxy has been paying for suspect to pump 75bbls which he said he did. Suspect is on the run and we need any where abouts.
