On Thursday last, the Gardaí in Ballybunion got a notification of vandalism in the coastal area of Beale, particularly in the Carpark to the beach. Vandalism of utter disrespect to the carpark by a boyracer in a car, which has recently been resurfaced by the County Council, with new tar and also new signage. When gardaí arrived to the scene, they could skidmarks and oilspills from the boyracer in his vehicle. An eye witness has come forward to say that he witnessed a green Peugeot 406, regestration number 98-CE-11888 which was seen doing rings and handbrake turns in the small area, and doing burnouts the spokesman has said. The car then appeared to leave the carpark, doing about 80 mph out the gap and leaking a severe amount of oil. Locals have identified the man as David Hennessy, who will be brought it for questioning in the coming days.
