Dundalk man ponders the meaning of life after poor opening of this years shooting season

Our reporters at BreakingNews365 met up with renowned gunslinging Dundalkian local, Stephen Gilliland, for an interview after the opening of the shooting season yesterday. In the interview, Mr. Gilliland stated that he was "Deeply saddened by the sheer lack of squirrels present on the day and didn't really care for shooting pheasants. I just couldn't deal with the sheer lack of squirrels present. Sure I was supposed to be shooting pheasants but it's just not the same. If you can't go out and shoot a few squirrels then what is the point of it all".
Later in the interview he asked, "Did ye know I did a thesis on squirrels ? Jaysus but I love squirrels". At this point in the interview, Mr. Gilliland started to resemble mad Tom from Fr. Ted.
Mr. Gilliland who has a severe fascination with the Sciurus vulgaris, finished the interview by stating again that he completed a thesis on squirrels and asked would we like to see it......

We declined.
