Darragh Connery (18) with an address at Geraldine villas garryowen in the city is accused of stealing 4 pairs of socks and a bottle of deoderent from the O Connell Street department store. Connery was seen by a member of staff putting the items in his pocket and then head for the changing rooms it is alleged Connery put on all four pairs of socks including his own (5) pairs in total and spray himself with the lynx deoderent Connery is then seen on CCTV being stopped by store detectives and escorted to the back and gardai were called. Apon arrival Mr.Connery is said to have been in a very agitated state and made a break for it. Connery then proceeded to force an old age pensioner from her toyota yaris and a chase insued. Connery careered through the city in a bid to eveade limerick gardai befroe coming to an abrupt halt in the Hyde road area of Weston as he crashed the hijacked old age pensioners car into a wall. Connery is seen screaming I'm no1 and thug life as he is being handcuffed. Judge Marrion O Leary of limerick district court granted the 18 year old bail but he has to surrender his passport Mr.Connery is due back in court Wednesday of next week to face these charges
